This is a full time, clinical and teaching position in the Zoological Medicine & Special Species Health Sections within the Department of Surgical Sciences, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The candidate will primarily participate in the clinical activities of the UW Veterinary Care (UWVC) Special Species Health service, including patient care, instruction and supervision of veterinary students, interns and residents, consultation with referring veterinarians and clients. The successful applicant will be expected to provide between 36-38 weeks of clinical service per annum. The annual caseload of the Special Species Service is approximately 1300 cases, with 50% small mammals, 40% birds and 10% reptiles. The successful candidate will join the current team of 2 ACZM Diplomates, 4 ACZM residents and 3 licensed veterinary technicians in the UWVC Special Species Health Service.
