Full medical/surgical/boarding care for birds and exotics. Very active, busy caseload with a lot of hands-on training.
Practice has digital x-ray, CT, cold laser, ultrasound, endoscopy.
We work with several board-certified specialist including radiologist, internist, ophthalmologist, dermatologist, and oncologist, as well as 24-hr ER facility 1/2 mi away that monitors critical cases overnight and handles avian/exotic emergencies under our supervision. Practice has 3 licensed techs, 2 receptionists, 1 assistant, and full-time practice manager and is very social-media savvy.
Internship may progress to residency.
Resident may sit for ABVP (Avian) boards at end of 2-year residency.
Resident will be expected to complete one avian-related publishable project.
