Work full-time with Dr. Laurie Hess, ABVP (Avian Practice) and Dr. Amanda Dewey (ABVP avian residency-trained) at the Veterinary Center for Birds & Exotics ( – an all-bird and exotics-only AAHA-accredited practice in Westchester County, NY, in a beautiful/affluent suburb approximately 45 miles north of Manhattan.Comprehensive medical and surgical care for birds, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits, rodents, wildlife, and other pet exotic species using state-of-the-art equipment including digital radiography, CT, ultrasonography, in-house laboratory, laparoscopy, laser, and acupuncture/herbal medicine. Avian/exotic animal caseload approximately 4,000 cases/year.
