Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is looking to hire an exotics exclusive associate veterinarian to join our team.
Description: We are a busy privately-owned specialty, emergency, and general practice built around a collaborative culture. Our team is made up of over 50 veterinarians with several board-certified specialists including internal medicine, surgery, oncology, radiology, ophthalmology, pathology, radiology, behavioral medicine, neurology, and full-time intensive and critical care unit. We currently have three exotic veterinarians with coverage 7 days a week and our fully staffed ER team is available 24/7 to support our heavy exotic caseload. We are well staffed with 200+ support staff and highly trained nurses including several veterinary technician specialists.Our exotics service sees a wide range of primary care, sick, and emergency cases. Our location in the tristate area combined with a 24/7 emergency service leads to a high case load of exotic patients. We currently see small mammals, avian, reptile, aquatic, and amphibian species. We are equipped with facilities to readily provide full-time care to our exotic patients.Our hospital is fully equipped with a CT, MRI, rigid and flexible endoscopic equipment, a fully integrated in-house laboratory, surgical suites, ultrasound, digital radiography, therapy laser, surgical laser, Snyder oxygen cages, chemotherapy, and fully stocked pharmacy. We currently have an exotics ward, surgery suite, and procedure/dental room. We are completing a large facility expansion that will include an updated exotics ward, surgical suite, dedicated and species-specific hospitalization space, and additional exotics specific examination rooms.
Skills & Qualifications: Preference will be given to exotics boarded or internship and/or residency trained applicants in the field of exotic medicine. Experience with emergency medicine is a plus. Location: Our hospital is located in Mount Laurel, NJ which is a convenient 30-minute commute from Philadelphia, PA and 1 hour drive to the Jersey Shore.
